Anderson Cooper began his career in 1992 as a fact checker at Channel One News. After he graduated from Yale University and while working at Channel News Anderson tried to get entry-level employment with ABC. 

But it was too hard to get a job at ABC as a fresher. After so many unsuccessful attempts to get a job at ABC Anderson kept on working as a fact checker.

After years of hard work, Cooper was promoted to serve the Chief International Correspondent role at Channel One News. During this time Anderson reported and produced stories, from conflicts in Bosnia, Cambodia, Haiti, Israel, Russia, Somalia, and South Africa. 

Later Cooper reported on a major conflict in Myanmar where he as the Chief International Correspondent at Channel One News took the risk of entering Myanmar with his forged press pass, to meet the students fighting the Burmese government.

Anderson Cooper’s journey with CNN started in 2001, where his first position was anchoring with Paula Zahn on American Morning. Next year Cooper became CNN’s weekend prime-time anchor and also hosted CNN’s New Year’s Eve special from Times Square.
