Deborah Knight’s career started with 2WG, a radio station in Wagga Wagga, where she honed her skills as a broadcaster. She then transitioned to Mix 106.5 in Sydney, gaining valuable experience in a metropolitan setting.

Her role expanded as she became a regular substitute presenter on the network’s national late-night news bulletin. In October 2011, Sandra Sully succeeded her as the presenter of Ten News at Five in Sydney. 

Nine Network

December 2011 marked Deborah’s transition to the Nine Network, where she replaced Alicia Gorey as the news presenter on Weekend Today and served as the Monday news presenter on Today. In February 2015, she advanced to co-host Weekend Today, succeeding Leila McKinnon. 

By December 2017, Deborah was appointed as the presenter of Nine News Sydney on Friday and Saturday nights, taking over from Georgie Gardner. She also filled in on programs like Today [4], Today Extra, A Current Affair, and Nine News Sydney.
