After finishing her college degree from SRCC in 2017, Ishita Kishore started working in a company.

She got a job at Ernst & Young (EY), one of the big consulting companies in India.

There, she worked as a Risk Analyst, where she learned how businesses work and how to study economic and business data.

The Big Decision – Leaving a Corporate Job

In 2019, Ishita made a bold move by resigning from her stable job at EY to follow her dream of becoming a civil servant. 

She chose to give all her time and focus to studying for the UPSC Civil Services Exam, which is one of the hardest exams in India.

UPSC Attempts and Success

Her first two tries at the UPSC exam didn’t work out. She couldn’t pass the Prelims, but she kept going and didn’t lose hope.

With improved strategy, discipline, and focused preparation, Ishita cracked the exam in her third attempt and secured All India Rank 1 in 2022.

After her success in UPSC, Ishita began training at the LBSNAA (Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration), which is the foundation training institute for IAS officers.
