Malvika Nair started as a model while she was still studying. She appeared in advertisements and in the music video “Rithukkal.” She entered films at around age 13. In her early work, she had small roles in Malayalam films such as Ustad Hotel (2012), Puthiya Theerangal (2012), and Karmayodha (2012).
Her first major role was in the Malayalam film Black Butterfly (2013). After that, she played the lead in the Tamil film Cuckoo (2014), where she acted as a blind girl. She later moved into Telugu films with Yevade Subramanyam (2015) with Nani; Vijay Deverakonda and Kalyana Vaibhogame (2016).
In the years that followed, she acted in films like Mahanati (2018), Vijetha (2018), and Taxiwaala (2018) with Vijay Deverakonda. Her later credits include Orey Bujjiga (2020) and Thank You (2022). She also appeared in the Telugu anthology series Modern Love Hyderabad, released on Amazon Prime Video on 8 July 2022.
