The Indian movie industry, known as Bollywood, is famous for discovering talented individuals and offering opportunities to those who work hard. The rise of OTT platforms has made it even easier for new talents to find roles and gain recognition. Today, we’ll talk about one such actress who made her mark through OTT – Arushi Sharma.

Arushi Sharma began her acting journey in 2015 with a small part in Imtiaz Ali’s movie ‘Tamasha’, which featured Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone. She played a brief role as goddess Sita in one scene.

After ‘Tamasha’, Arushi Sharma landed her first major role in Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Love Aaj Kal’ in 2019, alongside Kartik Aaryan, Sara Ali Khan, and Randeep Hooda. She starred opposite Randeep Hooda and impressed audiences with her performance. However, things took a downturn during the Covid-19 lockdown.

Like many Bollywood actors, Arushi Sharma faced difficulties finding work and making ends meet during the lockdown. She even considered leaving acting altogether and searched for jobs in engineering companies to support herself in Mumbai.

But fate had other plans. In 2022, Arushi landed her first lead role in Netflix’s movie ‘Jaadugar’ opposite Jitendra Kumar. Though the film received mixed reviews, Arushi’s performance was widely praised. Recently, she also appeared in the Netflix series ‘Kaala Paani’.
