Despite Virat Kohli’s less-than-stellar performance with the bat, his heroics on the field proved crucial in India’s victory.

At a critical moment with Afghanistan at 165/4, Kohli’s breathtaking save near the boundary left spectators in awe, drawing comparisons to Bumrah’s moves. 

Later, Kohli showcased his fielding prowess with a brilliant running catch, assisting Avesh Khan in sending Najibullah Zadran packing.

Turning our attention to the overall game, India’s captain played a captain’s innings, scoring an unbeaten 121 runs and leading the team to a commendable total of 212-4 in Bengaluru. 

Afghanistan, however, mounted a spirited comeback, thanks to Gulbadin Naib’s explosive 55 runs off 23 balls, levelling the score at 212-6.

The match eventually entered a Super Over, echoing the dramatic 2019 World Cup final between England and New Zealand. Both India and Afghanistan managed to score 16 runs each in the Super Over. In the subsequent Super Over, India posted 11-2, with Rohit Sharma dominating the opening three balls.
