James Vasanthan was born on 1st October 1962, his age is 62 years, and he was born in Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, India. He is a popular Indian music composer, filmmaker, TV Host, Singer, Lyricist, Screenwriter, and actor who has made a significant impact in the Tamil film industry. 

James Vasanthan Education, Qualification

James Vasanthan went to YWCA Primary School, which is now called BHEL Matriculation Higher Secondary School, and later Bishop Heber Higher Secondary School.

He eventually graduated from Bishop Heber College in Trichy with a degree in English literature. Even though he wanted to study science, he had to choose literature because he couldn’t afford the high fees of a science course. This was because he was raised by a single mother who couldn’t pay for it.

After finishing his bachelor’s degree, he studied more and got a master’s degree in English from Jamal Mohamed College. Then, he also learned about Carnatic music from Madras University under the guidance of his mentor, Dr. Uma Maheswari, who was a scholar in the field and formerly served as the principal of the Government College of Music in Thiruvaiyaru.

Dr. Uma Maheswari advised James to undertake the course and provided him with all necessary course materials and resources, as well as paying his fees. James is grateful to Dr. Uma Maheswari for her support. He has  also received diplomas in Pianoforte, Guitar, and Theory of Music in Western music from Trinity College in London.
