Early Career (Mid 2000s): First Jobs in Toronto
After journalism school, Jennifer’s first job was as an overnight traffic reporter for 680 News, working the graveyard shift. This gave her an early foundation in live broadcasting.
2006 to 2009: Beijing and CCTV
In 2006 she moved to Beijing and joined the state broadcaster’s English language channel, then called CCTV9, as a sports anchor.
She became one of the youngest sports anchors at the network and covered the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics, reporting from venues such as the Bird’s Nest Stadium and the Water Cube.
