Kalyani Priyadarshan started her film work behind the camera before moving into acting.
In 2013, she worked as an assistant production designer for the Hindi film Krrish 3.
In 2016, she worked as an assistant art director for the Tamil film Iru Mugan.
Kalyani made her acting debut in Telugu with Hello (2017), opposite Akhil Akkineni.
After her debut, she acted in more South Indian films across languages. She was cast in the Telugu film Chitralahari (2019) with Sai Dharam Tej.
