In a recent development, Arjun Mohan has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the renowned ed-tech company BYJU’S. Mohan, who was part of BYJU’s founding team and previously served as the Chief Business Officer (CBO), rejoined the company in July this year after a stint at UpGrad. Currently, he holds the position of BYJU’s International Business CEO and will now also oversee the company’s operations in the country.

This announcement comes following the resignation of Mrinal Mohit, one of the founding partners of BYJU’S and the CEO responsible for India operations. Mrinal Mohit cited ‘personal reasons’ for his departure and expressed his intentions to pursue new personal aspirations.

Arjun Mohan had previously served as BYJU’s Chief Business Officer before departing from the firm in 2020. He subsequently took on the role of CEO at upGrad, an upskilling unicorn founded by Ronnie Screwvala. Mohan is a graduate in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Calicut and completed his MBA from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kozhikode in 2012.
