As his income grew to Rs 300 per month, Ashok continued to harbor ambitions for a more significant impact on society. He enrolled in a diploma program while working, and after completing his studies, he was transferred to the quality control division of the dockyard. A trip to Germany on behalf of the corporation opened his eyes to the potential that lay within him, fueling his desire to achieve greater heights.

Drawing from his newfound purpose and armed with his brother’s support, Ashok Khade embarked on a journey of entrepreneurship, co-founding Das Offshore Engineering Private Ltd. With a remarkable portfolio of 100 maritime projects, the company now employs around 4,500 people and boasts an impressive annual revenue of over Rs 500 crore.
