Ravi Kumar N G, Divisional Commissioner, Gorakhpur, has been appointed by the UP government as the new CEO of the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA).

In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Yogi government has chosen Ravi Kumar NG, a top IAS official, to be the CEO of the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority. He will take over Ritu Maheshwari’s position as CEO.

Ritu Maheshwari, who currently serves as the chief executive officer of both the Noida Authority and the GNIDA, will be replaced by Ravi Kumar. Maheshwari, an IAS officer from the UP cadre who graduated in 2003, will continue as the CEO of the Noida Authority.

On September 28, 2022, Maheshwari was assigned the additional responsibility of GNIDA CEO after Surender Singh, the former CEO of Greater Noida and commissioner of Meerut, was appointed as the secretary to the Delhi Lieutenant Governor.

Regarding IAS Ravi Kumar

Ravi Kumar N. G., an IAS officer from the 2004 batch, has been appointed as the secretary of tourism, culture, and religious affairs for the Government of Uttar Pradesh.

In 2021, he was transferred to the position of Gorakhpur Division Commissioner.

Ravi Kumar, originally from Karnataka, has also served as the director general of UP Tourism.

Prior to his appointment as the district magistrate of Gorakhpur in 2012, he held the position of district magistrate of Mathura and Agra.

During Uma Bharti’s deputation at the Centre, he served as her private secretary when she was the former water minister.
