The UPSC exam is widely considered to be the most challenging test globally, and it is believed that those who make an attempt to prepare for it are among the brightest individuals. Just imagine the inspiration and motivation that those who crack the exam provide, setting an example for millions. IPS Archit Chandak serves as one such source of inspiration for many.

Hailing from Shankar Nagar, Nagpur, Archit Chandak is a young man who always aspired to achieve ambitious goals. He received his education at Bhavan’s BP Vidya Mandir in Nagpur. After completing his schooling, Archit Chandak attended the prestigious IIT, an engineering school that is the dream of every aspiring BTech student.

Archit Chandak successfully obtained his BTech degree in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Delhi. In the 2012 JEE exam, he secured the highest rank in his city. It was during his time in college that Chandak discovered his passion for serving the country as a government official. Despite being offered a generous 35 lakh salary package by a Japanese company during his internship, Chandak turned down the job to focus on his preparation for the UPSC exam, with the goal of cracking the Civil Services.

After completing his graduation in 2016, he dedicated himself to preparing for the civil services exam. He appeared for the UPSC exam in 2018 and achieved an All India Rank (AIR) of 184. Initially, Chandak served as the station house officer at Bazarpeth police station in Bhusawal. Currently, he has been assigned to Nagpur as the deputy commissioner of police (DCP).

Apart from his professional pursuits, Chandak has a keen interest in playing chess, holding a Fide rating of 1,820. He is also an avid fitness enthusiast and has even completed the 42km Mumbai Marathon. Chandak maintains an active presence on social media and regularly shares glimpses of his life on various platforms. He has garnered considerable popularity, with a current total of 92.2k followers on Instagram.

Chandak is happily married to his fellow UPSC batchmate, IAS Saumya Sharma, who currently serves as the CEO of Zilla Parishad Nagpur.
