Lokesh Raj Singhi, a Computer Science and Engineering student pursuing BTech at Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT) in Allahabad, made headlines in 2022 by securing a coveted position as a ‘Graduate Software Development Engineer’ at Amazon Dublin. Impressively, Lokesh Raj Singhi received a job offer with an annual package of Rs 1.18 crore.
The remarkable package offered to Lokesh Raj stands as the highest ever recorded at MNNIT. It is worth noting that Allahabad boasts an IIIT, numerous government and private engineering colleges, as well as five universities within the city.
MNNIT director, Prof RS Verma, expressed his congratulations to Lokesh Raj, stating that his achievement would serve as an inspiration for aspiring coders at MNNIT to dream big,” as reported by Hindustan Times.
As per Hindustan Times, Lokesh was presented with a job offer from Salesforce, a US-based firm, in addition to Amazon. However, he made the decision to decline the offer from Salesforce and accept the one from Amazon. Lokesh commenced his journey with Amazon in August 2022 and presently holds a position within the company.
Expressing his joy, Lokesh, hailing from Chiru in Rajasthan, expressed gratitude to his teachers and parents for securing the job through off-campus placement. He acknowledged the rigorous selection process, which involved initial resume selection, followed by two rounds of online assessments, and concluded with three rounds of interviews.
Lokesh comes from a family where his father, Lalit Raj Singhi, is a businessman, and his mother, Anju Singhi, is a homemaker. Additionally, Lokesh’s elder brother, Kriti Raj Singh, is also a software developer.
