Rafique Malik is an Indian billionaire and the owner of Metro Brands, a multi-brand footwear retail company based in Mumbai with a market capitalization of Rs 23,000 crore. The company includes popular brands like Metro Shoes, Walkway, FitFlop, and Da Vinchi, and has 720 stores across 160 cities in India. His daughter, Farah Malik Bhanji, currently serves as the managing director of the company.

Metro Brands, previously known as Metro Shoes, was established by Rafique Malik’s father Malik Tejani in 1955 as a single shoe store in Mumbai. The company has since grown into a multi-brand footwear retail business. Notably, famous investor Rakesh Jhunjhunwala has also invested in the company.
In 2007, Jhunjhunwala invested in Metro Brands by purchasing a 15% stake in the company. In December 2021, Malik listed the company through its Rs 1,367 crore initial public offering (IPO).
