Rahul Bhatia, the company’s promoter, has seen a growth of Rs 8583 crore in just sixty days.

Rahul Bhatia’s net worth has experienced a significant increase, rising from 4.28 billion dollars to 5.32 billion dollars. In Indian currency, this amounts to over Rs 43,000 crore.

According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Rahul Bhatia holds the 22nd position among the wealthiest individuals in India. His company, InterGlobe Aviation, has witnessed a significant surge of 32 percent in share prices. The share price, Rs 1912 at the end of March, has now increased to Rs 2418.50.

The market capitalization of the company is Rs 93,263.84 crore.

The stabilization of global crude prices provides another reason for the company to anticipate favorable financial results.

Rahul Bhatia and his family hold a 38 percent stake in InterGlobe Aviation, which constitutes the majority of his fortune.

IndiGo has a massive domestic market share of 55 percent. The company was co-founded by Rakesh Gangwal in 2006. According to Forbes, the company has 300 aircraft and 101 destinations.

In 2022, the parent company of IndiGo Airlines entered into a partnership with the logistics giant UPS and established Movin, a logistics company.

The group also possesses Interglobe Hotels, which operates 19 hotels in India and 14 hotels internationally.

Bhatia serves as the Managing Director of the Group. He obtained his degree in electrical engineering from the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada.

The company was established in 1989 with a primary focus on Air Transport Management. Over time, it expanded its operations into various sectors including Civil Aviation (IndiGo), Hospitality, Airline Management, Travel Commerce, Advanced Pilot Training, Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, and Logistics.
