He made his first-class debut for Hyderabad in the 2015–16 Ranji Trophy. In the 2016–17 season, he became one of the top performers by taking 41 wickets, helping his team reach the quarterfinals.

Siraj was picked by Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2017 IPL auction for ₹2.6 crore.
