He mainly works in Hindi television, films, and web series. He started his acting career with the science fiction show Antariksh in 2004.

He became widely known after playing Lord Shiva in the television show Devon Ke Dev…Mahadev.

He later appeared in shows such as Mahabharat, Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat, and web series like Bhaukaal.

Mohit also acted in the Hindi film Uri: The Surgical Strike, where he played Major Karan Kashyap.

Mohit Raina Early Life and Education

Mohit Raina was born and raised in Jammu, India. He belongs to a Kashmiri Pandit family. His childhood was spent in Jammu. 

He was born into an ordinary, middle-class family and brought up in a very simple manner. 

Sadly, his father passed away in 2011 when Mohit was 29 years old, and his mother has been an important influence in instilling values and discipline in him.

Mohit’s early years were marked by the turbulent conditions in Kashmir during the period of ethnic conflict and militancy.

It is known that he recalled witnessing his school on fire and shared a particularly harrowing incident from when he was around 8 years old.

He was standing on a street with one of his parents while his sibling was on the other side, and there was gunfire in between them.

Mohit Raina studied at Kendriya Vidyalaya School in Jammu. After school, he completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Jammu.

On March 17, 2023, Mohit shared the first glimpse of his newborn daughter, featuring a touching picture of Mohit and Aditi’s fingers as they held the tiny finger of their little one, with the caption: “And then just like that we became 3.. Welcome to the world, baby girl.” Their daughter’s name is Anaya Raina.
