Cracking UPSC in the First Attempt (2019)

Muskan’s career began with an extraordinary achievement. In 2019, she appeared for the UPSC Civil Services Examination, India’s most challenging and competitive exam, and cracked it in her very first attempt.

She scored an All India Rank (AIR) of 87, a result of consistent self-study, careful planning, and unwavering focus. 

Muskan prepared mostly by herself, relying on basic resources like NCERT books and managing her time wisely. Her strategy and discipline became a model for thousands of aspirants across India.

Training at LBSNAA and State Attachments (2020–2021)

After her selection, Muskan began her official training at the prestigious Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) in Mussoorie. This is where newly selected civil servants are trained to take on administrative responsibilities. 

As part of her training as an IFS officer, she also took part in a State Attachment program in April 2021 at the Himachal Pradesh Institute of Public Administration in Shimla. 

During this attachment, she had the honour of meeting the then-Governor of Himachal Pradesh, Bandaru Dattatraya. This meeting symbolized her early connection with high-level government roles and responsibilities.
