Nithya Menen started acting as a child artist in the English film Hanuman (1998) at the age of 8.
She was also a part of the Hindi-language soap opera Choti Maa – Ek Anokha Bandhan, in one episode, which was aired during 2001-2002.
Menen also acted in the Kannada film 7 O’ Clock (2006) in which she played the role of Anu. She was cast along with Pooja Kanwal and Mithun Tejaswi.
In Malayalam cinema, she played a lead role in Aakasha Gopuram (2008) with Mohanlal Viswanathan.
Her Telugu debut came with Ala Modalaindi (2011) alongside Ghanta Naveen Babu.
