Anita Bathe started her media career as a community channel reporter with Shaw TV in the Vancouver area. She later worked in commercial radio in the Vancouver and Victoria markets.

She joined CBC in 2016 as a reporter. In November 2018, she became a co-anchor of CBC Vancouver News at Six.

Along with Mike Killeen, she co-anchored the 6 p.m. newscast from 2018. Along with senior meteorologist Johanna Wagstaffe, they were part of the Vancouver News at Six on-air team highlighted in a media profile. 

After Killeen’s final newscast in May 2021, she continued as the main anchor of the program.

She also hosted and co-hosted several CBC special programs and public events. Along with Stephen Quinn, she hosted CBC’s town hall, Our Shot: Vaccinating B.C. (March 10, 2021). 

Along with Belle Puri, she hosted CBC’s online town hall Situation Critical (September 20, 2022).
