Paul Brothers Career
Paul Brothers began working in Canadian television after building an interest in broadcasting in his teens. He moved to Halifax in 2004 and later started getting on-air opportunities in the city.
In 2006, he joined MuchMusic as the Halifax host of the show Going Coastal. He held the role for nearly three years and interviewed hundreds of bands for the program.
After that, he moved to Toronto to work in sports media with theScore as a host and reporter. During his time at theScore, he interviewed sports figures such as Steve Yzerman, Jerry Rice, and Roberto Alomar, and he also anchored theScore on Global Toronto during News Hour on weeknights.
Paul later returned to Halifax and moved into the morning news at Global Halifax. He has been with Global News Morning since its launch in January 2013. Along with former co-host Andrea Dion, he anchored the program before her departure.
Along with Alyse Hand, he has co-hosted Global News Morning since she joined the desk in 2019, with their updated show lineup debuting in early September 2019.
Alongside daily anchoring, he also takes part in longer interview segments. For example, he sat down with Nova Scotia Premier Tim Houston for a year-end interview discussing issues such as health care and housing.
