Pooja Devariya started her film career with the Tamil film Mayakkam Enna (2011). In this film, she played Padmini alongside Dhanush and Richa Gangopadhyay.
In the next year, she focused more on theatre and worked with the group Stray Factory.
In 2015, Devariya returned to the film industry with award-winning films.
She acted in Iraivi, which featured S. J. Suryah, Vijay Sethupathi, Anjali, and Kamalinee Mukherjee.
