One of these incidents happened when BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma, a panelist on Preeti Choudhry’s debate shows, voiced her displeasure with how these fictitious farmers harassed Choudhry’s colleague at the Muzaffarnagar Kisan Mahapanchayat event, the India Today anchor, instead of denouncing the harassment, claimed that such incidents are common and that she has experienced them herself.
“Since you have raised my colleague’s situation, she is a reporter. I am a reporter on the ground as well. This is part of the course. This happens everywhere, wherever you go. It happens in Mahapanchayat and political rallies as well”, said Preeti.
