Juyal is one of Indian television’s most well-known dance-show hosts through the Dance Plus series.

Raghav Juyal began his journey as a self-taught dancer on Indian reality television, learning entirely by analyzing clips on YouTube and TV.

National Television Debut and Dance India Dance (2011–2013)

In 2011, Juyal appeared for the first time on national television on Colors TV’s Chak Dhoom Dhoom 2 – Team Challenge!!, performing as part of the D-Maniax dance crew.

In 2012, he auditioned for Zee TV’s Dance India Dance 3, introducing his slow-motion dance style. He initially missed the Top 18 cut but was brought back as a wildcard entrant by Grand Master Mithun Chakraborty after his audition video went viral. He went on to finish as the season’s second runner-up in that season.

In the same year, Juyal became skipper of team Raghav Ke Rockstars on Dance India Dance Li’l Masters 2, choreographing for Saumya Rai and Rohan Parkale and leading both students to the finale.

He then choreographed for Dance Ke Superkids as captain of team Yahoo, competing against Dharmesh Yelande’s team Wakao; his team was declared the winner.

Acting Debut in 2014

In 2014, Juyal made his acting debut playing Sada in the comedy film Sonali Cable, co-starring Rhea Chakraborty and Ali Fazal. Critics praised his acting performance despite the film’s modest box-office run.

His Hosting in 2015

In 2015, he appeared in Remo D’Souza’s dance film ABCD 2 with Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor. In the same year, Juyal made his hosting debut with the dance reality show Dance Plus on Star Plus, and hosted Prem Ki Diwali.

In 2016, Juyal competed on Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 7, finishing among the season’s top finalists. In the same year, he hosted Dance Plus (season 2) and co-hosted the Star Parivaar Awards and Colors Golden Petal Awards.

His First Negative Role in 2020

In 2020, he appeared in the dance film Street Dancer 3D with Varun Dhawan, Shraddha Kapoor, and Nora Fatehi. In the same year, he played his first negative role as Samar in the second season of ZEE5’s crime thriller Abhay. He also starred in the satirical comedy Bahut Hua Sammaan with Sanjay Mishra.

In 2021, Juyal hosted Dance Deewane (season 3) and Dance Plus (season 6), and made a guest appearance on Bigg Boss 14. In 2023, Juyal appeared in the action comedy Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan opposite Salman Khan.

His First Acting Breakthrough in 2024

In 2024, Juyal earned widespread critical acclaim for his portrayal of the antagonist Fani in the action thriller Kill. In the same year, he played Inspector Yug Arya in the web series Gyaarah Gyaarah, and starred as Shafiq in Farhan Akhtar’s Yudhra alongside Siddhant Chaturvedi and Malavika Mohanan.

In 2025, Juyal starred as Parvaiz in The Ba***ds of Bollywood, Aryan Khan’s Netflix directorial debut series, earning praise for his performance. In the same year, he made a cameo appearance as a dancer in Nishaanchi 2.

Racist Remarks Row on Dance Deewane 3 (2021): Juyal was criticised, including by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, after a clip showed him mocking a contestant from the North-East by speaking gibberish to imitate Mandarin. He later clarified in a video that the exchange was based on the contestant’s own claim of speaking Chinese, and he apologised if anyone’s sentiments were hurt.
