Regina Halmich began her journey in combat sports by excelling in kickboxing. She became the German champion in kickboxing as an amateur in 1992, 1993, and 1994. 1. On March 4, 1994, Halmich made her professional boxing debut in her hometown of Karlsruhe, Germany, where she defeated Fienie Klee of the Netherlands in a four-round unanimous decision.
2. As a professional, she competed in various weight divisions, including Jr. Flyweight, Flyweight, Jr. Bantamweight, Bantamweight, and Featherweight.
