Sahila‘s foray into the limelight began with her success in beauty pageants, culminating in her being crowned Miss India in 1983. 

This achievement opened doors to the film industry, where she made her debut in the Hindi film I Love You in 1985.

Diverse Film Roles (1986–1994)

She expanded her acting repertoire by taking on roles in various regional films. In 1986, she starred in the Kannada film Africadalli Sheela, portraying the titular character. 

She reprised this role in the Tamil remake Kizhakku Africavil Sheela in 1987. Her versatility was further evident in the Bhojpuri film Dagabaaz Balma (1987), where she played Chanda.

Sahila gained significant recognition for her performance in the horror film Veerana (1988), where she played Sahila S. Pratap. 

Her role as Rita in the blockbuster Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! (1994) remains one of her most memorable performances.
