Saurabh Dwivedi began his education at Saraswati Shishu Mandir in Orai. He stayed there till 1993 when he transferred to Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Sanatan Dharma Vidyalaya, a residential school in Kanpur, where he graduated in 1998. Later, in the year 2000, he graduated from Jugal Devi Saraswati Vidya Mandir in Kanpur. He then graduated from Dayanand Vedic College in Orai with a degree in Mathematics.
After completing his graduation, Saurabh Dwivedi was uncertain about his future. However, his interest in Hindi literature led him to take the JNU MA admission test for Hindi. One of his teachers recognized his exceptional writing skills and encouraged him to pursue a career in journalism.
He earned his MA in Hindi from JNU in 2006 and a one-year Postgraduate Diploma in Mass Communication from the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIM) in Delhi in 2007. Additionally, he completed an MPhil in Hindi Literature from JNU in 2010. Although he began a Ph.D. program at JNU, he did not finish it.

Early Career
Saurabh Dwivedi started his journalism career in March 2007 as an intern with Star News. After completing a two-month internship, he worked for Live India News Channel as a reporter for four months. He then joined the Times Group as a senior copy editor cum correspondent for two and a half years. In September 2010, he became a news editor of the Ludhiana edition of Dainik Bhaskar, where he worked until 2013.
