Scott Roberts Career

Scott Roberts began his professional career in print journalism. He worked at the Toronto Star and later at The Globe and Mail.
In this period, he reported on major stories including the Toronto 17 terrorism investigation and the Air France crash at Pearson International Airport.
Move to television news in Alberta (Edmonton)
Roberts later moved into television and launched his TV career in Edmonton.
From 2007 to 2012, he worked in Edmonton as a reporter and anchor with CTV.

2015, Tofino boat capsize (breaking news coverage)
After anchoring a weekend newscast, he went to Tofino to cover a whale-watching vessel capsize that killed six people, mostly U.K. tourists.
He reported on the story for several days, including live reports for ITV’s Good Morning Britain.
Global News Edmonton (2022 to present)
Roberts joined Global News in August 2022.
Global Edmonton announced he would become the new co-anchor of Global News Hour at 6, starting September 1, 2022, along with Carole Anne Devaney.
He took over the co-anchor role after Gord Steinke retired from the anchor desk (last day August 31, 2022).
