Vikram Chandra is considered one of the finest Indian journalists and a technology expert. He is probably the only journalist who remained neutral throughout his career, one who stayed away from all the controversies and somehow managed to rise above all the news at nine shenanigans. As a result, he is recognized as the leading journalist in India.
He did his graduation, post graduation from Delhi university, Oxford, and Stanford university, and started his journalism career in 1991. Then in 1994, he Joined New Delhi Television Limited and worked there till October 2016. He left so that he could launch Editor Technologies.
He also authored a book named The Srinagar Conspiracy. It was a work of fiction in 2000 and became a bestseller.

Vikram Chandra Education
Vikram Chandra is an alumnus of The Doon School, Dehradun. He was also appointed as the editor of The Doon School Weekly. From there, he went to get his bachelor’s degree in economics from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi.

Vikram Chandra Career, Shows, and Awards
Vikram was a bright student from birth; he completed his schooling, graduated from Delhi and was granted Inlaks Scholarship, which led him to study at Oxford university.
He completed his education and started working with the TV news magazine “Newstrack” in 1991. Then he went on to join New Delhi Television Limited (NDTV) in 1994 and worked there for over two decades.
There he worked on the prime time nine o’clock news and hosted a technological show called Gadget Guru, where they talked about new technologies and reviewed them. But the show that he is known for the most was the award-winning “The Big Fight”.
On the show The Big Fight, he interviewed famous figures like Bill Gates, Tim Cook, King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, and many more.
He helped set up NDTV.com, which later went on to become the top website in the country. All this hard work and expertise helped him to rise above the ranks, and in 2007 he was appointed as the CEO of NDTV networks; later, in 2011, he was named the CEO of NDTV group.
In October 2016, he left NDTV and founded ‘Editor’.

Vikram Chandra Controversies
In 2019 after leaving the post of NDTV CEO, Vikram Chandra’s name was filed in an FIR by CBI, along with Prannoy Roy and Radhika Roy, on the charges of violation of FDI norms.
He adamantly claimed that the FIR was not merely a mistake, but rather an act of vendetta against the press.
In a statement, he declared that the FIR was merely an act of vendetta against the free press and admitted that there had been a mistake.
He paid the fine INR 6,67,000 by SEBI in 2020, where he appealed against the order at SAT and was able to put a stay upon it.
