However, in the final match against Afghanistan in Bengaluru, Rohit played well and helped India win in a thrilling double Super Over.

Teaming up with Rinku Singh, Rohit rescued India from a tough situation in batting and led the team to victory. He scored a record-breaking century in the third T20I at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium. With this win, Rohit matched the record of MS Dhoni by achieving 41 victories as India’s T20 captain.

Former cricketer Rohan Gavaskar praised Rohit for equaling Dhoni’s record, showing his leadership skills. Gavaskar appreciated Rohit and Rinku for using their cricketing intelligence when the team struggled at 22-4, showing adaptability and changing their game plan accordingly.

Rohit also became the most successful century-maker in T20Is, surpassing Glenn Maxwell and Suryakumar Yadav. He scored 121 runs off 69 balls, and Rinku contributed with 69 runs off 39 balls. India recovered from a difficult situation at 22-4 to post a huge total of 212 runs in 20 overs.
