Adrienne Clarkson Career

Adrienne Clarkson worked for CBC Television for many years as a host, interviewer, writer, and producer.
Along with Paul Soles, she co-hosted the CBC daytime program Take 30 after joining the show in 1965. The program also had other presenters at different times, including Anna Cameron, Mary Lou Finlay, Hana Gartner, and Harry Brown.
She later hosted her own public affairs show, Adrienne at Large (1974).
In 1975, she helped launch CBC’s investigative program The Fifth Estate. She first co-hosted with Warner Troyer, and later hosted with Peter Reilly and Eric Malling.
After a period working in public service, she returned to CBC as host of Adrienne Clarkson’s Summer Festival. That series led to Adrienne Clarkson Presents, an arts program she hosted for years.
