Aditi Tiwari, a student of Electronics and Communication at NIT Patna, got a record-breaking job offer.
Usually in India, students from prestigious institutes like IITs and IIMs get high paying jobs after they complete their education, and their packages often make headlines. However, in 2022, NIT Patna made news as it recorded the highest-ever package of Rs 1.6 crores in the placements that year.
Aditi Tiwari, a final year Electronics and Communication student, created a record by getting a job offer worth Rs 1.6 crore. Her father works at Tata Steel, and her mother is a government school teacher. The package Aditi received is historic, even more than what students from IITs and IIMs receive. Facebook hired Aditi as a front-end engineer.
In 2022, NIT Patna had 110% overall placements, setting a new record. Before Aditi Tiwari’s historic package, the highest package received by a student at NIT Patna was around Rs 50-60 lakhs.
The Covid-19 pandemic has had a big impact on campus placements. For two years, the process of campus recruitments was affected a lot due to the pandemic.
An IIM student named Avni Malhotra was in the news as she got a job at Microsoft with a package of Rs 64.61 lakhs. IIM Sambalpur shared this news on Twitter and mentioned that this is the highest salary earned this year. The institute also said that this offer is 146.7% higher than the previous year’s highest salary.
Malhotra, who lives in Jaipur, got the job at Microsoft after six rounds of interviews. She was selected because of her prior work experience of three years with Infosys and her skills in organizing things, as reported by Times Now.
