Dia Mirza left home when she was just 5 years old after a fight with her dad. Her dad got angry and shouted at her, so she went to stay with her relatives. But her dad promised not to get mad at her again when he found her. Before she became an actress, Dia worked in a media company as a marketing executive and got a salary of Rs 5,000.
Dia was born in Hyderabad. Her dad, Frank Handrich, is a German designer and artist, and her mom, Deepa, is a Bengali designer. When Dia was 4-and-a-half, her parents got divorced.
Later, her mother married Ahmed Mirza, a Muslim man from Hyderabad, and Dia took his last name. He passed away in 2004.
Dia’s first film, ‘Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein,’ with R Madhavan in 2001 was a big hit. It’s one of Bollywood’s best romantic movies. People even called her the ‘perfect girlfriend’ because of her role in the film.
