Esha Deol, daughter of famous Bollywood stars Dharmendra and Hema Malini, joined the film industry with high hopes. Despite her family background, Esha struggled to find success in her acting career. Recently, she faced personal turmoil as she ended her 12-year marriage to businessman Bharat Takhtani. Esha, who is turning 43, announced their separation.

Starting with her debut in 2002’s ‘Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe’, opposite Aftab Shivdasani, Esha faced disappointment as the film didn’t do well. Her subsequent movies like ‘Na Tum Jaano Na Hum’, ‘Kyaa Dil Ne Kahaa’, ‘Kucch To Hai’, ‘Chura Liyaa Hai Tumne’, ‘LOC Kargil’, and ‘Yuva’ also failed at the box office. However, her decision to star in ‘Dhoom’, where she wore a bikini for the first time, brought her into the limelight. ‘Dhoom’ was a hit, as was ‘No Entry’ in 2005.

Despite these successes, Esha’s career took a downturn as most of her later films, such as ‘Main Aisa Hi Hu’, ‘Kaal’, ‘Tell Me O Kkhuda’, ‘Hijack’, ‘Money Hai To Honey Hai’, ‘Darling’, and ‘Cash’, failed to impress audiences. Out of nearly 25 films in her 23-year career, only a few performed well, often with Esha in supporting roles.
