The prestigious rankings were unveiled in the highly anticipated 360 ONE Wealth Rich List 2023, as announced by Hurun India. Among the notable entries on this exclusive list is Manish Kejriwal, an emerging figure in the world of Indian billionaires. With a substantial fortune of Rs 3,000 crore, Manish Kejriwal, who hails from Kedaara Capital, has made a remarkable debut on the Hurun India Rich List 2023.
But who is Manish Kejriwal?
Manish Kejriwal has been at the helm of Kedaara Capital since its establishment in 2011, serving as the Managing Partner and Founder. Kedaara Capital is a prominent private equity firm that specializes in control and minority investments within India. Presently, the firm manages an impressive $3.6 billion in Assets Under Management (AUM).
A defining characteristic of Kedaara Capital is its unwavering commitment to building relationships based on trust with top-tier business owners and management teams, which have paved the way for their successful investments in well-known companies.
Mr. Kejriwal’s academic achievements are nothing short of exceptional. He graduated with an AB from Dartmouth College, earning the prestigious Magna Cum Laude distinction and the Dean’s Plate award. He then went on to complete his MBA at Harvard University, where he was recognized as a Baker Scholar.
Before his journey with Kedaara Capital, Manish Kejriwal played a significant role in the Indian investment landscape. He was instrumental in establishing the India unit of Temasek Holdings Pte. Ltd. in 2004 and served as its Country Head until 2011. Prior to his time at Temasek, Mr. Kejriwal was a Partner at McKinsey & Company, Inc., and he worked in various capacities across the firm’s New York, Cleveland, and Mumbai offices. In New York, he was pivotal in founding “The Private Equity Practice” and co-authored the renowned “NASSCOM McKinsey reports.”
His professional journey also includes positions with Goldman Sachs in Hong Kong, specifically in Principal Investment and Corporate Finance, and with the World Bank in Washington, D.C.
