NR Narayana Murthy, an illustrious Indian entrepreneur, and businessman, has risen to become the richest man in the state of Karnataka. The co-founder and former CEO of Infosys, India’s leading IT company, is revered as the “father of the Indian IT sector” and is among the country’s top 12 entrepreneurs.

Following a remarkable career with Infosys, Narayana Murthy assumed the prestigious title of Chairman Emeritus in the renowned IT firm upon his retirement.

Born into a modest middle-class family in Karnataka, Murthy’s academic brilliance shone through as he completed his graduation at the National Institute of Engineering and pursued his master’s degree at the esteemed Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Kanpur.
