Miss World 2024: Navjot Kaur, a 27-year-old former policewoman from New Zealand, is getting ready for an amazing journey. She’s going to represent her country in the Miss World competition in India. Navjot grew up in New Zealand but her family is from Jalandhar, Punjab, India.
Just two weeks ago, Navjot became Miss World New Zealand, which was surprising because usually, contestants try for many years.
Navjot decided to leave her job as a policewoman in South Auckland to try something new – beauty pageants. She speaks Hindi and Punjabi, which helps because she’ll be competing in India.
Navjot is excited about going to India. She wants to explore Jalandhar and see famous places like the Golden Temple in Amritsar and the Taj Mahal in Agra. She’s also looking forward to sharing Indian food like pani puri with the other contestants.
Navjot admires Sushmita Sen, a former Miss Universe and actor. She also looks up to Aishwarya Rai and Priyanka Chopra, who were Miss World winners. She thinks their strength and independence are inspiring. Navjot believes being genuine and caring for others is important.
