In a dazzling ceremony held in New Jersey, Rijul Maini, a 24-year-old medical student hailing from Michigan, claimed the prestigious title of Miss India USA 2023. This annual event also witnessed the crowning of Sneha Nambiar from Massachusetts as Mrs India USA and Saloni Rammohan from Pennsylvania as Miss Teen India USA.

Rijul Maini, an Indian-American with aspirations of becoming a surgeon, expressed her overwhelming gratitude after winning the coveted title, stating, “I am so humbled and grateful to say that I am the new MISS INDIA USA 2023! This could not have been possible without the support of my loving parents and family.

Maini took a moment to acknowledge her mother’s pivotal role in styling her for the pageant, saying, “And to my loving amazingly talented momma, who curated the most beautiful outfits for me to walk the stage. Love you so much, I am so blessed to have you!”

The pageant, celebrating its 41st anniversary, featured participants from 57 contestants representing over 25 states in three categories: Miss India USA, Mrs India USA, and Miss Teen India USA. Greeshma Bhat from Virginia secured the first runner-up position, while Ishita Pai Raikar from North Carolina was announced as the second runner-up.

Founded by New York-based Indian-Americans Dharmatma and Neelam Saran under the banner of Worldwide Pageants, this event holds the distinction of being the longest-running Indian pageant outside of India. Beyond its glittering showcase of beauty and talent, the pageant aims to empower young women, and Rijul Maini’s win marks a significant milestone in her journey.

As part of their accolades, the winners will receive complimentary air tickets to participate in Miss-Mrs-Teen India Worldwide, organized by the same group. Dharmatma Saran, the founder and chairman of Worldwide Pageants, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the global Indian community for their unwavering support over the years, reinforcing the enduring legacy of this prestigious pageant.
