Robin Bansal, a talented engineering graduate from IIT Delhi, made a remarkable decision to leave behind a lucrative job with an annual salary of Rs. 36 lahks. Instead of opting for commercial success, he followed his passion to serve the public and focused on preparing for the UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE) with the goal of becoming an IPS officer.

Son of an Economics lecturer and a homemaker, Robin’s journey started when he cracked the highly competitive Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) and secured admission to the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi. After completing his BTech, he joined a private firm and was earning a handsome income. However, driven by his desire to serve the nation, Robin made the tough choice to leave his corporate job after just one year and dedicate himself entirely to UPSC preparations.

Despite facing initial setbacks, Robin persisted and attempted the UPSC CSE three times. In 2019, his first attempt yielded no success, followed by two consecutive attempts in 2020 and 2021. Despite the challenges, Robin remained undeterred and finally achieved his dream in 2022 when he secured an impressive All-India Rank of 135.
