Sasha Agha, born on January 1, 1992, is an actress with a connection to Bollywood’s illustrious Kapoor family, being a distant relative of the renowned actor Ranbir Kapoor. The daughter of Salma Agha, a superstar actress in her era, Sasha made her Bollywood debut alongside Arjun Kapoor in the film ‘Aurangzeb,’ produced by Yash Raj Films. However, despite her family’s film legacy, Sasha’s journey in Bollywood faced challenges.

Salma Agha, Sasha’s mother, achieved fame with the superhit film ‘Nikah,’ where she not only showcased her acting skills but also lent her voice to the hit song ‘Dil Ke Armaan.’ Following in her mother’s footsteps, Sasha Agha, too, displayed an interest in singing.

‘Aurangzeb,’ released in 2013 and directed by Atul Sabharwal, failed to make an impact at the box office, earning just 17 crore. The film’s lackluster performance affected Sasha’s career significantly. Subsequent projects like ‘Desi Katte’ in 2014 and ‘Ek Nikah Aur’ in 2015 also faced a similar fate, leading Sasha to take a step back from acting and bid farewell to Bollywood.

Despite starting her career with Yash Raj Films, one of the leading production houses in the industry, Sasha struggled to find success. Her decision to leave the film industry was influenced by the series of unsuccessful films, marking her as one of the lesser-known figures in Bollywood.

Reports suggest that Sasha Agha is married to Sachin Gupta, associated with the music industry. Additionally, the Kapoor family connection comes through Salma Agha’s lineage. Anwari Begum, Salma’s grandmother, was the second wife of Jugal Kishore Mehra, who was the nephew of Ramsarni Mehra. Ramsarni, in turn, was the mother of Raj Kapoor, making Jugal and Raj Kapoor cousins. Therefore, Raj Kapoor is identified as Salma Agha’s maternal uncle, and Sasha Agha is a distant relative of Ranbir Kapoor.
