Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the captain of the IPL team Chennai Super Kings and former skipper of Team India, is widely regarded as a cricket legend. However, his path to success was not without challenges, and he always had the support of his best friend by his side.
Seemant Lohia, also known as Chittu, has been a constant presence in Dhoni’s life since their days in primary school in Ranchi, Jharkhand. Despite coming from middle-class families and not having cars, they shared a passion for bikes. Chittu played a significant role in Dhoni’s life and was even depicted in the biopic ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’, portrayed by actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
In an interview with Times of India, Chittu reminisced about their school and college days, where they used to ride bikes and enjoy street food together. Throughout Dhoni’s career, Chittu supported him during the challenging times and was instrumental in his success.
Chittu, along with other friends from Ranchi, has often been credited for Dhoni’s achievements. He would drive to Dhoni’s college every day to pick him up after exams and then take him to cricket practice for the state team. Over time, Chittu evolved from being Dhoni’s devoted supporter to becoming his business partner.
According to TOI, Chittu is responsible for managing Dhoni’s endorsement deals and overseeing his cricket academy. He frequently accompanies Dhoni during his visits to Ranchi and is actively involved in various business ventures, solidifying their deep friendship and expanding their business empire.
