Cricket is super popular in India. Even big-shot business people and CEOs love to watch and play it in their free time. Some of them even dreamed of being cricketers when they were younger but ended up in different careers. One guy like that is Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Google and an IIT graduate.

Pichai, who started working at Google in 2004, is a big fan of cricket. He used to lead his school cricket team in Chennai and they won lots of tournaments. He’s 51 now and admires Sunil Gavaskar and Sachin Tendulkar a lot. Pichai once said he wished he could’ve been a cricketer, but instead, he’s the big boss at Google, a company worth a whole lot—around Rs 14225720 crore.

When Pichai joined Google, he worked on different things there, and in 2015, he became its CEO. In 2017, he also got on the Alphabet Board of Directors. In 2022, he made about Rs 1854 crore, mostly from stocks. His pay included a base salary of USD 2 million and over USD 5 million for security. That means he made around Rs 5.07 crore every day that year.
