Lots of famous Bollywood actors have kids who also try acting, but not all of them become as successful as their dads.
Let’s talk about one such actor whose dad was a big star in the 70s and 80s, but his son didn’t have the same luck. He only had one or two successful movies, and now he mostly does smaller roles.
Tusshar Kapoor, whose father is the famous Jeetendra, started his acting journey in 2001 with a movie called ‘Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai’. It was a hit and he acted alongside Kareena Kapoor.
Even though his first movie did well, Tusshar Kapoor couldn’t keep up the success. In the 20 years since he’s only had one or two hits as the main actor. He’s been in other successful movies, but usually in smaller roles.
His first movie ‘Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai’ cost only Rs 7 crore to make but earned Rs 30 crore. After that, he got lots of work, but none of his movies did as well as his first. Most of them didn’t make much money and the people who made them lost a lot.
Tusshar Kapoor had a string of flop movies like ‘Kyaa Dil Ne Kahaa’, ‘Jeena Sirf Merre Liye’, and ‘Kucch To Hai’. ‘Yeh Dil’, ‘Shart: The Challenge’, and ‘Insan’ were also big failures. Because of this, his career went downhill.
One of his successful roles was in the ‘Golmaal’ movies, where he didn’t have many lines but was still liked by the audience for his funny acting.
Even though he couldn’t make it big as a lead actor, people still like him in supporting roles. Even though he’s been in the industry for more than 20 years, Tusshar Kapoor still hasn’t become as famous as his father.
