Coleen Christie Career

Coleen Christie began her television career in Victoria, British Columbia, where she worked at CHEK-TV in behind-the-scenes and on-air roles, including hosting Entertainment Update.

She later moved to Vancouver and started at CTV Vancouver in 1997, first working as a reporter and host, and later appearing as a news anchor.

By 2001, public bios state she became co-anchor of the 5:00 p.m. newscast with Ravi Baichwal. After he left, she became the solo anchor of that early-evening newscast. She also hosted network programs, including Canada AM when it broadcast from Vancouver.

In 2017, Coleen joined Global BC. She anchors Global News at Noon BC and also fills in on Global News at 5, The News Hour at 6, and sometimes Global National.

Along with her on-air work, she appears alongside other Global BC on-air personalities, including Mark Madryga (weather), Keith Baldrey (politics), and Squire Barnes (sports), depending on the newscast.
