Poonam Pandey’s agency, Schbang, said sorry for organizing a fake death stunt involving the actor last week. People are asking for legal action against her. The agency explained on Instagram that they wanted to make people more aware of cervical cancer by faking Poonam’s death.

We’re sorry for our part in the plan for Poonam Pandey to talk about Cervical Cancer with Hauterfly. We apologize especially to those who have faced cancer or have loved ones who did,” their statement said.

We wanted to raise awareness about Cervical Cancer. In 2022, India had 123,907 cases and 77,348 deaths from it. After Breast Cancer, Cervical Cancer affects middle-aged women the most,” they added.

The agency defended Poonam Pandey, saying her mother fought cancer. “Poonam’s mother battled Cancer. Going through that, Poonam knows how important it is to prevent it, especially when there’s a vaccine,” they said.

Last Friday, Poonam Pandey’s team said on Instagram that she died from cervical cancer in her hometown. The Instagram post said, “We sadly tell you that Poonam died from cervical cancer. She spread love to everyone she met.” “Please give us privacy while we remember her,” it said.
