He mainly works in Hindi television and films, and he has also worked in Bengali films. 

He became widely known on TV for playing Mihir Virani in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Rishabh Bajaj in Kasautii Zindagii Kay

In films, he is known for roles such as Bhairav Singh in Udaan (2010).

Ronit Roy Early Life and Education 

Ronit Roy was born in Nagpur, Maharashtra, and grew up in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, in a Bengali family. 

He spent his formative years in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, and received his primary education there. He completed his education in hotel management before moving to Mumbai. 

Although initially discouraged by filmmaker Subhash Ghai, he eventually entered the entertainment industry, achieving early film success before enduring years of financial struggle and career stagnation.

Ronit Roy began his screen career in Hindi films with Jaan Tere Naam (1992), where he acted with Farheen. 

He then worked regularly through the 1990s, appearing in films such as Bomb Blast (1993), Sainik (1993), Hulchul (1995), Rock Dancer (1995), and Army (1996).

He also acted in Bengali cinema, including Agni Shikha (1999) and Atangko (2000). 

From the early 2000s, television brought him a wider reach. He played Rishabh Bajaj in Kasautii Zindagii Kay (2002 to 2008), where the main cast included Shweta Tiwari, Cezanne Khan, Hiten Tejwani, and Urvashi Dholakia.

In the same era, he also played Mihir Virani in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi (2002 to 2008). 

He later took on roles in TV titles such as Kasamh Se (2006 to 2009) and Bandini (2009 to 2011). 

In films, he had a key role in Udaan (2010), where he acted with Rajat Barmecha, Aayan Boradia, and Ram Kapoor. 

That same period, he led a long-running TV hit as lawyer K.D. Pathak in Adaalat, which began on 20 November 2010 and ran through 2015, then returned for season 2 in 2016.

In Kaabil (2017), he worked with Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam, and also shared the film with his brother Rohit Roy. 

He also moved strongly into streaming. Kehne Ko Humsafar Hain (2018, three seasons released through 2020) starred Ronit Roy, Mona Singh, and Gurdeep Kohli. 

In Hostages (2019 to 2020), he acted alongside Tisca Chopra, with other key cast members including Parvin Dabas, Aashim Gulati, Mohan Kapur, and Dalip Tahil.

In 2021, Ronit Roy appeared in the Tamil-language film Bhoomi (2021). The film starred Ravi Mohan and Nidhhi Agerwal, with Ronit also in the cast. It began streaming on Disney+ Hotstar on 14 January 2021. 

In 2022, he featured in the Hindi period action film Shamshera (2022). The credited cast includes Ranbir Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, Vaani Kapoor, and Ronit Roy.
