The title of the film has nostalgic value as it brings back memories of the legendary filmmaker Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s iconic film Satyakam, in which Dharmendra played the lead role of Satyaprakash.

When asked about his character in Satyakam, Dharmendra commented, “It is far easier to play larger-than-life characters than real-life characters.” Kartik is set to experience the same truth in Satyaprem Ki Katha, directed by Sameer Viwans, where he plays the titular character Satyaprakash, while Kiara Advani plays Katha. 

Dharmendra spoke fondly of Kartik, stating, “He is a hardworking, sincere young man. His face communicates an innocence and honesty that my fans like me for.” Apart from Satyaprem Ki Katha, Kartik also has an untitled film in the works with filmmaker Kabir Khan.

Satyaprem Ki Katha has been created with a budget of approximately Rs 50-60 Crores, along with a supplementary Rs 5-7 Crores investment for promotion and advertising, amassing the film’s entire budget to fall within the range of Rs 60-65 Crores. The motion picture is indeed akin to Shehzada, a recently launched feature in cinemas.

It is anticipated that Satyaprem Ki Katha will attain revenue of approximately Rs 50-60 Crores at Indian box offices. Unfortunately, Shehzada, starring Kartik Aaryan, did not perform well at the box office due to its origins as a remake of a South Indian movie and its lack of exceptional acting.
