Shriya Saran started her acting career with the Telugu film Ishtam (2001). She got wide attention after the success of Santosham (2002).
Saran appeared in Telugu films such as Tagore (2003) and continued doing regular work in Telugu cinema through the mid-2000s, including Chatrapathi (2005).
