Susan Ormiston started her TV news work at CBC. She worked as a host and reporter in Toronto. She later moved to Halifax, Nova Scotia, where she served as a news co-anchor on CBC Television’s First Edition.
She hosted the show with Jim Nunn (co-anchor) and also with sportscaster Colleen Jones during that period.
After that, she worked as CBC’s National TV Reporter in the Maritime provinces.
In the 1990s, Ormiston moved to CTV and worked on the current affairs program W5 as a host and correspondent. She also hosted NewsNet and reported on finance from the Toronto Stock Exchange.
